Our business

Your role:


  • Lead the innovation efforts in biotechnology internally and externally
  • Maintaining a close collaboration network of biotechnology providers to complement own competences and capabilities
  • Be the key "goto" person for biotechnology based innovation & technology related topics
  • Contributing to the overall OMV group innovation & technology strategy
  • You lead the department, act as coach and create the scientific and operational (HSE, Legal, Compliance) environment where employees can develop to their fullest potential according to OMV safety standards and values.
  • You assign people to projects to enable effective delivery in innovation for different time horizons in accordance with the business and technology strategy of the company.
  • Contributing to the strategic development of both competences as well as the technology roadmap. Identify short
- and long-term project, resource & competence needs.

  • Continuously monitoring the focus area maintain the competence map of availability, capabilities, and preferences about the team
  • Assessing the training and development needs of employees

Your profile:


  • You have a Master's Degree in bioprocesstechnology
  • You have minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience
  • You have proficient leadership and people management experience within an international working environment
  • Proficiency in the relevant biotechnology landscape
  • Resource management and workforce planning
  • You manage through complexity and ambiguity, lead with influence
  • You make hard decisions and persevere when things are less than ideal
  • Building and developing larger teams
  • You have excellent communication and change management capabilities
  • Business acumen and financial literacy
  • Building and developing good professional relationships and networks
  • Excellent English language skills
