Our business

Your role:


  • Perform analysis of market supply and demand for all product groups (fuels, heating oil, marine and bitumen products) and analyze the effects of different supply/demand changes in the market
  • Screen the main competitors and analyze the impact of operational and shortterm events
  • Challenge short
- and mid-term planning assumptions for relevant product groups, derive findings and feed them proactively into the planning process

  • Ensure translation of market findings into inputs for sales channels including the identification of main major trends and their impact on operational price and volume positioning in core regions
  • Support customer segmentation with detailed customer insight inputs, (e.g. share of wallet, business model, value drivers etc.) as well as with customer price and value propositions
  • Support decision making in area of product and customer portfolio and segment extensions
  • Active role in the sales strategy implementation, by providing and steering utilization of market, supply/demand and product quality insights
  • Secure and build up knowledge of alternative technology, processes and fuels which impacts the sales footprint
  • Own product information on relevant product groups in all aspects (e

g:
supply, demand, product qualities and trends, customer segments, price development)

  • Steer support of external providers (e.g. Argus, Platts, OMR) in all operationally relevant market analytics topics

Your profile:


  • University Degree Master/Diploma in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing
  • Minimum of 9 years relevant working experience in Sales, Supply, Marketing or Market and Customer Analytics
  • Proven experience in business and market analytics and comprehensive market knowhow in fuels/chemicals industry
  • Strong analytical and tactical understanding
  • Welldeveloped understanding of markets and competitors
  • Ability to anticipate and propose reaction to business to changing market dynamics
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Affinity to data analytics and data visualization
  • Knowledge of statistical software and tools of advantage (EViews, Stata,)
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to present complex topic to all levels in the organization, incl. senior management
