We supply services and products to customers around the globe through Borealis and two important joint ventures: Borouge (with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, or ADNOC, based in UAE); and Baystar(tm) (with Total, based in the US).The Polyolefins (PO) Business Intelligence Director / Head is a seasoned professional tasked with building business intelligence capabilities (people & skills, tools, infrastructure, data) that generate advanced insights, interpret them, convert them into plans and actions - structurally, as an organisation - thus becoming a source of sustainable competitive advantage and driving better business results.This proven leader also supports the commercial parts of the organisation to improve the overall (commercial excellence) capabilities through a mix of trainings, processes, tools & systems and incentives; bringing in bestpractice approaches that drive competitive advantage, by * Driving the transformation of the PO organisation towards a connected, customer activated company with a strong focus on building organic growth capabilities * Leading the central business intelligence efforts and driving continuous improvement Additionally, you will..: * Create PO business intelligence roadmap * Develop skills and capabilities within BU to generate insights from multiple sources (structured/unstructured, internal/external, qualitative/quantitative), understand and develop action plans from them that deliver tangible business result * Support and coach in identifying high-impact use cases for better intelligence (generation and use) in the business, developing analysts into citizen data scientists, and educating "data consumers" on converting data to insights and actions, as well as implementation of use cases that lead to improved business results * Optimise the BI platform by determining how best to use existing data analytics, architecture, and technology, and where to make improvements (in collaboration with IT and other functions). * Establish best practices for BI, data warehousing, and data governance (in line with broader Borealis context); Develop BI applications and data models, manage and mentor the development of data modelling for Polyolefins , in line with broader Borealis context * Training program for analysts (creating citizen data scientists) and data consumers * Manages the ComEx transformation programme, including development, execution and embedding of various commercial excellence initiatives * Drive execution of DBM Sales rules across the Sales - training, implementation tracking, improvements * Sales performance analysis and benchmarking * Team and department budget About you: The ideal candidate will have a university degree, 5-10 years of experience, bringing thorough insights and best practices from business intelligence in relevant context, and 15+ years of ideally international business experience, that builds on earlier solid career foundation with the focus on commercial background, including exposure to commercial excellence activities.You have a strong strategic approach, ability to deliver results based on analytical, problem solving skills and mastery of digital business intelligence tools.
