Medical Advisor Ophthalmology

We, Janssen-Cilag GmbH, a pharmaceutical company of Johnson & Johnson, are currently looking to fill a position of a Medical Advisor for the field of Ophthalmology located in
Vienna, Austria.

In that role you'll act as the scientific expert in the therapeutic area of Ophthalmology and be responsible for discussing patients' treatment trends and studies with a defined audience of Leading Specialists (Physicians, Pharmacists, Hospital Managers, Board Members of Scientific Societies, and other partners) and to be considered a trusted scientific counterpart and partner.

You will be also supporting the launch of future products within the ophthalmologic portfolio, both in
- and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

Builds purposeful internal and external networks and relationships to develop and drive collaborative and valuable solutions
Acts as a scientific expert and actively participate in international/national congresses and medical education events to continuously improve scientific and practical knowledge around the therapeutic area and products and to identify evolving scientific concepts
Builds purposeful internal and external networks and relationships to develop and drive collaborative and valuable solutions
Represent the organization in various internal & external scientific platforms
Works closely with key experts to identify current needs and develop activities such as round tables, consultancies, medical education or related medical projects. Acts as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders for all product

- and disease related information

Accountable for the planning, coordination and execution of the Medical Affairs Plan
Conduct medical reviews of activities and materials in accordance with compliance guidelines and ensure scientific and medical accuracy of materials.
Planning and conducting training on the medical background of the products
Generating treatmentrelated insights

Qualifications:

Scientific degree in the field of Medicine, Pharmacy, Natural Sciences or similar
Several years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, preferably as Medical Affairs Manager or Medical Advisor
Sound knowledge of Austrian market access and regulatory requirements in connection with medical affairs activities
Comprehensive knowledge of the legal framework and procedural guidelines related to promotion and authorisation of medicinal products
Great communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate complex scientific issues
Postdoctoral experience and deep knowledge in Ophthalmology or related scientific field is preferred
