Exscientia developed the first-ever functional precision oncology platform to successfully guide treatment selection and improve patient outcomes in a prospective interventional clinical study, as well as to progress AI-designed small molecules into the clinical setting.


The Role:


As People Operations Specialist, you will be a key part of our People Operations team, providing support to our global employees with a focus on Austria.


You will deliver a people-focused service and automate processes across the entire employee lifecycle for all types of employment relationships (employees, EOR employees and temporary workers).

This role will suit a self-starter who enjoys taking what has already been created, and further enhancing it.

We're looking for someone who will thrive on building a fully customised experience which is scalable, whilst remembering that each of the people it touches is an individual.


Please note, this is a temporary position to provide maternity cover, ideally starting in February 2024 for approximately 12 months. Regular travel to our Vienna office is required (approx. two days per week in Floridsdorf, 1210), and there will be flexibility to work from home.

You will have the opportunity to:
  • Own the complete employee lifecycle, including all onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations cases.
  • Own all employee related documentation including offer letters, contracts, change letters etc, and automate these HR processes where possible.
  • Manage our HRIS including data input and reporting, whilst working with the global People team to continuously improve its functionality.
  • Administrate benefits for Austrian colleagues including introducing and implementing new company benefits.
  • Manage and process the monthly payroll for Austrian colleagues.
  • Work closely with the wider People team to collaborate on global projects, ensuring compatibility with Vienna site needs and Austrian employment law.

Requirements:


Essential skills:


  • People Operations experience including knowledge of Austrian employment law and firsthand experience working with a HRIS.
  • Passion for the employee experience, with a curious approach and a desire to try out and develop new ideas using your own initiative.
  • High customer orientation and ability to successfully build trusting relationships with a diverse group of colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand, analyse and transform data to inform People Operations decisions and comply with Austrian employment law.
  • Excellent organisational skills with time management, attention to detail and resilience to pressure.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German skills. Fluency in German is an essential requirement due to the nature of this role, but please note English is our working language across the

Desirable skills:


  • Experience in a Tech, Life Sciences, or high growth organisation.
  • Experience working in an international organisation.
  • Experience of managing employee relations cases to a successful completion in Austria.
  • First
- or second-hand experience of managing payroll.
