In Chemicals & Materials, OMV through its subsidiary Borealis, is one of the world's leading providers of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions and a European market leader in base chemicals and plastics recycling. Together with its two major joint ventures
Borouge (with ADNOC, in the UAE and Singapore) and Baystar (with TotalEnergies, in the USA)
Borealis supplies products and services to customers across the globe. OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.
Our business
Your tasks
Ensure proper accounting procedures in alignment with Corporate and Energy Accounting that reflect the nature and risk of the various LCB Lighthouses and are consistent with other OMV accounting policies.
Ensure and decide on best practices and comparable approaches of accounting matters within LCB
Liaise with the various corporate functions whenever applicable
Prepare optimal tax strategies together with the local Tax and ensure tax compliance
Active review of governange systems as an integral part of the role, and responsibilty to raise any governance issues seen to LCB Business Partner
Internal Control System (ICS) focal point; Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the ICS and drive ongoing improvement and updates
Insure against risks in line with defined risk appetite in conjunction with the Insurance department
Actively ensure and control the adherence to internal and external rules & regulations in close cooperation with the business

Your profile

Master's degree in Business or related field
At least 12 years of professional experience in the Finance and Accounting area
Ideally you bring management experience in the energy industry
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and selfdrive
Excellent communications skills
Very good English
