About the role:

In this responsible and exciting role, you will lead the Vienna Material Change Management (MCM) and Product Change Management (PCM) Teams.


The MCM team is responsible for the timely implementation of supplier notifications of change to ensure supply continuity and compliance.

Furthermore, other types of material related projects, e.g. second sources, alternate suppliers etc. to ensure business growth, are also within the scope of this team.

The PCM team is facilitating the site ́s readiness to launch our in-house manufactured products worldwide.


How you will contribute:


  • Lead and manage two teams of 34 project leaders each in Vienna
  • Be part and collaborate in a global network structure to allocate resources accordingly
  • Support the team in all project management areas as well as change control related questions/challenges
  • Manage and drive escalations and their resolution as needed to ensure timelines and requirements are met
  • Manage project portfolios and align with resource availabilities
  • Assure alignment and collaboration with related departments, e.g. Quality, other Supply Chain departments, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Science, Global Launch Excellence, Regulatory Affairs,
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes & tool(s) in the team and lead related projects
  • Act as backup for the MCM and PCM team members
  • Support Supply Chain Digital Transformation and assure people development

What you bring to Takeda:


  • Education in Business Administration and/or Project Management
  • Bachelor degree or several years of proven practical experience
  • 57 years of related work experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry
  • Leadership experience
  • Profound project management and change control management experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence at different levels of the organization
  • Outstanding business acumen as well as commercial and financial understanding
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving and strong communications skills
