Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Public Cloud Cross Brand Sales Representative you will be responsible to position the IBM Public Cloud portfolio in your assigned set of clients.

You are passionate about your clients, your clients business and you can engage in the Public Sector.

You are able to translate IBM Public Cloud portfolio into a clients value to support your customers to grow their business.

You will demonstrate a new way of selling - no powerpoint selling but demonstrating our capabilities by live demos in front of your clients.

You are hungry to identify new fields of interest for IBM Public Cloud. You are a strong team player - the success of the team is your success. And the motto "customer first" is most important to you.

... are a Public Cloud Sales Rep for a set of clients of the Public Sector

... enjoy to work on and sell hot topics such as Kubernetes, Red Hat Openshift, IaaS or PaaS

... you are accountable for Public Cloud annual contract value (ACV), revenue performance, and client success as measured by client adoption and expansion of your portfolio of offerings in your focus accounts

... you are responsible for the Public Cloud account strategy including Opportunity Identification (OI) initiatives. Conduct regular calls and meetings with existing clients and new buyers

... Serve as Opportunity Owner on major cross offering Public Cloud pursuits

... demonstrate Public Cloud products, features and functions as a means to developing and progressing opportunities

... cultivate long term relationships with client

... differentiate IBM Public Cloud solutions vs. competitors

... work in close collaboration with other business units and functions e.g. Client Success Manager, Global Markets, Services and Hybrid Cloud to grow your portfolio at dedicated focus accounts

... handle all commercial aspects of the relationship such as contract negotiations, solutioning, proposal development or pricing requests

... have FUN at work and with Cloud native solutions

... maintain sales hygiene with accurate and timely forecasting.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Skilled in customer account management
  • Public Sector industry expertise
  • Sales acumen; Skilled working in fastpaced selling environments with direct customer interaction and a range of customer types
  • Strong presentation and pitch skills
  • Sales experience with current Digital Sales Strategies
  • Excellent reputation within Social Selling
  • Experience in consulting and project management for more than 2 years
  • Good knowledge of the IBM Public Cloud Portfolio
- min. of 5 years Public Cloud Sales experience


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Master-Degree in Information Technology / International Business
  • At least 7 years experience in technical sales in large enterprise accounts
  • At least 7 years experience in demonstrating a successful track record of technical sales, negotiation, communication and problem solving skills in fastpaced environment
