Industry Account Executive (f/m/d) Austria

In line with the introduction of SAP's innovative RISE strategy, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cloud Sales Executive (M/F/d) capable of successfully implementing this strategic initiative in the Austrian market.


Key Responsibilities & Tasks


As a Senior Account Executive, your primary mission will be to drive business growth by prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business opportunities related to SAP RISE in existing customer accounts.

You will bring your expertise and a strategic approach to customer engagements, leveraging SAP's resources to solve customer problems effectively:


  • Take charge of sales for SAP Cloud solutions, particularly within the framework of the RISE strategy.
  • Identify business opportunities and develop sales strategies to promote RISE.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships through proactive communication and consultation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand customerspecific requirements and offer solutions.
  • Achieve revenue targets and contribute to the company's growth strategy.

Account and Customer Relationship Management

  • Manage and nurture account relationships, aiming to exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute account plans tailored to each customer's unique needs, ensuring sustainable growth.
  • Become a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their requirements and providing value through SAP solutions and expertise.
  • Gain deep insights into each customer's technology landscape, growth plans, and competitive environment to provide informed solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans that address customer priorities and pain points, utilizing value engineering, benchmarking, and ROI data.

Roadmap to Success

  • Build customer centric strategy and own commercial relationship
  • Lead dedicated sales efforts that are aligned to customer strategy and product road map
  • Secure path to future success by moving and expanding to cloud and realize customer lifetime value

Demand Generation, Pipeline and Opportunity Management

  • Maintain a wellorganized and uptodate sales pipeline, following a disciplined approach.
  • Collaborate with marketing, inside sales, partners, and channels to generate and nurture leads within your territory.
  • Leverage the full range of SAP cloud offers, including Industry Solutions, LOB solutions, and technology solutions, to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Successfully advance and close sales opportunities by executing the sales strategy.

Sales Excellence

  • Focus on selling the value of SAP RISE to customers.
  • Execute upsell and crosssell initiatives on the customer base.
  • Orchestrate the deployment of the appropriate teams to ensure successful sales outcomes.
  • Utilize best practice sales models and position SAP solutions effectively against competitors.
  • Maintain accurate customer and pipeline information within the CRM system.

Leading an Account Team:


  • Demonstrate leadership skills in coordinating remote teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Ensure account teams and partners are aligned with each account's strategy and positioned effectively for customer interactions and events.
  • Maximize the value of all sales support organizations.

Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in complex business software and IT solutions sales.
  • Proven track record of success in Business Application software sales.
  • Experience leading teams in a collaborative selling environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large transactions and lengthy sales campaigns in a fastpaced, consultative, competitive market.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (both languages written and spoken) is a must.
