We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to partner with our local, regional and group teams. As a member of our local leadership team, you'll support the Country Manager of Watson-Marlow Austria & The Balkans. Your role will be pivotal, handling accounting, financial reporting, and collaborating closely with our Group Finance team.

At Watson-Marlow Austria & The Balkans, we've been serving Austria and Western Balkan countries since 2013. Based in Guntramsdorf (near Vienna) and with a presence in Belgrade, we're a vital part of the CEE region within EMEA


This role will focus on:

• Manage accounting, financial controlling, bookkeeping, and reporting activities.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, adhering to IFRS and local Accounting Principles.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis.
• Prepare and analyze monthly group reporting.
• Provide financial information to Country Manager, Group Finance, and Regional General Manager CEE.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Advanced degree or recognized professional accounting qualification.
• Proven experience in international accounting and controlling including understanding Taxation Law in the defined regions.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and annual financial statements.
• Proficiency in English and German; Croatian or Serbian is a plus.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines in local and group contexts.
