System architect role for the development of a next-generation electron-beam patterning unit linked with a high-speed datapath and the technology lead of an interdisciplinary project comprising:
Custom CMOS ASIC device with integrated MEMS technology

Custom photonic link between ASIC and remote systems

Advanced packaging solution with high data-rate signal integrity

Custom integrated power
- and thermal-management

Embedded in a vacuum environment with fine precision mechanical design constraints

Work with and coordinate between experts specialized in above fields

Define and share requirements across entire interdisciplinary project

Establish and oversee:
Deliverables of involved project teams and external partners, Qualification of sub-components and overall system, Integration sequence and overall schedule

Contribute to Risk assessment and risk mitigation plans

Acquisition of external partners and outsourcing options

PhD or MSc degree in electrical engineering or related field

Interpersonal skills:
able to motivate and guide project teams

Solid technical background with experience in at least two of the following areas:
Advanced packaging technology

Photonics and optical interconnect technology (28+ Gb/s)

SerDes technology (28+ Gb/s), link modelling, signal theory

Precision-mechanics or mechatronics
