Indirect Tax Manager (f/m/d) (f/m/d), DS, Kundl, Austria
85 This is the number of different supply chain setups our Austrian Novartis Companies.

Combined with Export sales in 60+ countries and strong investment activities to build up facilities to produce pharmaceuticals in brand new ways this forms a very interesting area with a lot of interaction between finance and business.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Take responsibility for all matters of indirect tax and provide support to business in various assigned territories
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Management and Funds Flow Manager to ensure all tax and accounting risks are considered when setting up new supply chain funds flows as well as for all existing setups
  • Proactively identify potential VAT and/or tax risks and take leadership with appropriate departments for timely resolution
  • Provides functional guidance from an indirect tax perspective for business transactions
  • Actively drive all internal tax controls in relation to VAT in execution as well as in regards of updated documentation
  • Liaise with Head FSC, Group Tax or tax consultants to ensure appropriate interpretation of new legislation
  • Manage VAT-Training on process and related systems for endusers and outsourced operations

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:


Essential:


  • Degree in Finance or Business Taxation (BA/MA or equivalent), Tax Advisor Certificate is an advantage
- strong Austrian and International VAT experience gained in industry and/or practice

  • Fluent in speaking and writing in German & English

Desirable requirements:

- excellent communication skills
- project leading skills

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement.

For this position the minimum salary is € /year (on a full time basis).

In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.

We are open for part-time and job sharing models and support flexible and remote working where possible.
