About the position


Specific duties

  • Write diverse content, including quick-turnaround short pieces and in-depth features, for program newsletters, reports, and external media partners' publications
  • Create written and multimedia materials highlighting program participants and the broader impact of Salzburg Global Seminar through research and interviews
  • Develop and edit marketing assets in alignment with corporate branding guidelines
  • Compose press releases for dissemination through media contacts and maintain updated distribution lists
  • Assist in organizing online and in-person events

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years' experience in communications within media, nonprofit, or corporate sectors
  • Strong communication skills with great attention to detail; fluency in written and spoken English is essential, with proficiency in German being advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications or journalism, or relevant professional/academic training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Adobe Creative Suite required; familiarity with CMS and database management preferred
  • Positive attitude, ability to multitask, and willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  • Confidence in interacting with individuals at all levels, across diverse cultures and professions
  • Interest in global affairs and topics covered by Salzburg Global Seminar

Compensation

  • Monthly salary of 2200 EUR before tax
  • Bi-monthly pay schedule (including double pay in June and December)
  • Benefits per Austrian standards: health insurance, pension contributions, sick pay, and 25 days of annual leave
