We are currently looking for an Electric Buyer for our location in
Vienna, Austria.

As a buyer, you are responsible for product groups/commodities assigned to you within the region/division.

You will work on several projects in Vienna and form the interface between the site, project, and global commodity manager.

You will procure using professional purchasing practices and techniques and ensure parts, services, and goods are available through the production process while maintaining overall cost at the lowest level and highest quality.

You will maintain daily contact with suppliers and ensure supplier quality and on-time delivery.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage purchase contracts for projects & operations within scope (60 %)

  • Contribute to the identification of material requirements, estimate the justified costs, provide the material procurement costs, prepare requests for quotations (RFQ) to suppliers, negotiate contractual documents, assess opportunities and risks in procurement during the entire project life cycle
  • Ensure delivery of Documentation according to standards and project requirements
  • Manage contracts for risk management, claims, conflict resolutions, feedback, and input into bids from lessons learned
  • Be responsible for delivering cost reduction targets and participate in Designtocost initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other functions to ensure project success by representing Procurement at meetings and work autonomously to resolve problems, but bring to management's attention if required
  • Ensure supplier's quality is according to technical specifications and partner with the Quality and Supplier Performance team to minimize nonconformity costs

Develop supplier 'best in class' performance (30 %)

  • Develop longterm supplier relationships through regular performance reviews and continually drive cost improvements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to frame contracts for dedicated projects
  • Administer terms and conditions with suppliers

Manage material cost reduction activities (10 %)

  • Explore continuously material cost reduction opportunities
  • Implement saving initiatives at the site

REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering or Business School Master Degree with a technical background
  • Between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in procurement with technical and operational expertise (apprenticeships and/or internships accepted)
  • Fluent in English is mandatory, German would be a plus
