Turn-Key Project Manager (f/m/x)

We are looking for experienced project managers to lead our International railway infrastructure projects.

Thales in Austria is a full system provider and global supplier of train control technology and traffic management systems (f. ex. European Train Control System (ETCS), Electronic interlockings, Operation Control Centers and dispatching systems, Field elements).


As an experienced and knowledgeable Project Manager for our international customers, you have the commercial responsibility for delivering a comprehensive solution.

Your challenge is to address a large number of stakeholders' needs, such as local railway authorities, experts, and partners in a wide variety of contractual relationships while also managing the available resources in a complex matrix organization.

Your CHALLENGE- You are the main interface to the customer, we expect active communication and negotiations with the customer from you- You manage, coordinate and motivate the project team to deliver successfully, in time and on budget- Project scheduling (WBS structure) and Project documentation is your daily business- Resources allocation and tracking as well as costs, sales and cash tracking- Thorough and continuous risk management, coordination and management of subcontractors including intra-group suppliers- Project reporting in a matrix organization

Your PROFILE- Min.

7 years of experience in managing the full scope of international, customer-facing Turn-Key projects- Experience in construction, civil engineering, or large-scale infrastructure projects is of particular interest- Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions under pressure- Outstanding organizational skills and strong management skills and leadership- Experience with public-sector projects is an advantage- Ability to work, communicate and interface effectively in an intercultural environment with customers, partners and employees- High level of flexibility and a proactive attitude- An excellent command of English is a must.

- Occasional European and international travel required (~10%)

We OFFER- The salary for this position starts at € gross p.a.
