Kati Hyvärinen

I’m a 44-year-old freelancer from Finland, currently located in Hinterglemm working as a Chef de rang in a hotel for the winter season Im looking for a new and exciting job opportunities when season ends in february.

My career has been wonderfully diverse — I’ve worked both on land and at sea in healthcare, hospitality, entertainment, and tourism. I’ve served as a nurse on major cruise lines including AIDA, Costa, and Celebrity Cruises, and as a waitress on Viking Line and Silja Line ships operating between Finland, Sweden, and Estonia.

Beyond nursing and hospitality, I’ve planned, managed and hosted themed events on a catamaran in locations — from Halloween parties and singles’ sailings to Latin dance cruises. I’ve also worked as a deckhand, stewardess, and hostess on various charter vessels.

My yachting experience includes positions in:

M/Y Liberty (Imperia, Italy) – Dayworker

A private motor yacht in Greece – Host

M/Y My Fair Play (Sardinia) – Sole Stewardess

M/Y Hooligan (South of France) – Stewardess

Last year, I hosted day charters in Marco Island, Florida.

Throughout my life, I’ve explored many professions: nurse, actress, model, hostess, Latin dance and yoga instructor, bartender, and waitress. I’ve also worked as a sports and activities leader in Turkey and Tenerife. My studies in Physical Acting in Copenhagen, Denmark led to work at the Circus Bygningen show & dinner restaurant as  a hostess/ Waitress and in promotion in other nightclubs.

Most recently, I spent the summer working in the Finnish archipelago as an event organizer, hostess, bartender, and waitress — and this season, I’ve been hosting day charters and working aboard Viking Glory.

I’m fluent in English, studying german and a quick to learn new skills and languages, and ready to take on new challenges. I’m currently available for work and open to a wide range of opportunities — both on land and at sea.
