As a person who has been involved in research and practice during the years of study and working, I am
writing to you to express my interest in this position. Considering academic knowledge, research
experience, I believe I match the skill and knowledge required to the content of my university studies and
this position.
Completing my bachelor's degree in applied physics, I conducted my postgraduate study toward clinical
application of physics and engineering in medicine. I pursued my education in biomedical engineering
with an emphasis on radiotherapy. I took all the radiotherapy-related subjects from radiation protection
and quality assurance to treatment planning and image guided radiotherapy as well as charged particles
radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging at DKFZ-Germany to major in this field. For my master thesis I
conducted a research project on adaptive radiotherapy for head and neck cancer. Over the span of this
project, I was trained to perform structures contouring and radiation treatment planning using Monaco.
Currently, to gain some practical experience, I am doing a specialized postgraduate program at medical
university of Vienna which is funded by IAEA Marie Sklodowska- Curie Fellowship program. It focuses on
the application of medical physics in hospitals. Through this study program I will be qualified to act as a
radiation safety officer and will also be certified and licensed to independently carry out all the medical
physics activities which come under the radiation protection ordinance for applications in medicine.
As a self-motivated individual team player, I believe that working in this position, would be of great value
for my development. My enclosed resume clearly demonstrates my strong interest and long-term
sustainability. I am confident that my relevant degree, knowledge, experience, and skills qualify me for
