Your mission

Are you ready to play a pivot role in next generation cancer treatment? Sarcura, an innovative start-up located at the xista science park in Klosterneuburg, is on a mission to revolutionize the manufacturing of cell therapies through automation and miniaturization using cutting-edge silicon technologies integrated in microfluidic cartridges.

YOUR ROLE

In this role, reporting directly to the CEO, you serve as the central point of contact for all matters related to controlling and finance within the company. Acting as a crucial link between internal stakeholders and external entities such as tax consultancy, investors, or grant agencies, you are entrusted with overseeing the entirety of our financial operations, including financial planning and reporting.

Your key responsibilities encompass ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports, conducting forecasting and variance analysis, and managing the pre-accounting of incoming invoices. Additionally, you will generate ad-hoc reports, provide insightful analyses, and present findings to non-financial team members to support decision-making processes.

Through a critical review of existing processes, your role also involves enhancing the efficiency and robustness of our financial reporting and methods.

What you bring

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Your educational background provides a solid foundation in financial principles and concepts.
• 3 years of professional experience in Finance and Controlling, you possess a robust understanding of financial operations, adeptly contextualizing these insights within the distinctive challenges of a young and fast-paced deep tech startup
• Professional proficiency in German and English, both written and verbal
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You possess the ability to convey complex financial insights clearly and translate intricate financial information for individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly those without financial expertise.
• Strong systematic and problem-solving skills. You have experience leveraging data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to improve financial performance. Your proficiency in Excel, including Pivot tables, Macro, and other relevant functions, enables you to analyze and manipulate financial data effectively.
• Highly motivated and hands-on. You have a proactive mindset, take the initiative and demonstrate a strong work ethic. You embrace new challenges as opportunities for growth and actively seek ways to contribute to the success of Sarcura.

The position provides a starting salary of €65,000 annually gross, with a possibility of overpayment based on skills and experience.
