  • Our business
    Your tasks
  • Close collaboration with project managers, construction managers and site HSSE colleagues to deliver international major capital projects.
  • Assure that all project hazards are recorded and the associated risks are included in the safety report (safety case).
  • Plan required HSSE resources according to project portfolio and define HSSE expectations/targets for all project phases.
  • Ensure that internal and external HSSE rules and regulations are respected.
  • Coordinate HSSE stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of required outcomes.
  • Assurance of both existence and quality of all HSSE documentation for investment projects.
  • Support and verify the implementation of HSSE regulations, processes, management systems and projects by performing different types of assessments across the division.
  • Support the contractor and subcontractor management in regards of HSSE as well as checking and evaluating new contractors/bidders according to the HSSE prequalification procedure. This includes the evaluation of actual bids.
  • Improve overall HSSE performance towards the OMV HSSE vision "committed to Zero Harm", by taking actions on findings, investigations, incidents, audits and verify the implementation and effectiveness of actions taken.
  • Willingness to travel and stay abroard for defined period of time (Germany, Belgium, Romania, Middle East, USA etc.)

Your profile

  • University degree in Engineering, Project Management, Law or similar.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in the field of HSSE and Contractor Management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills and significant experience in the construction, project management industry with fundamental knowledge about refinery processes.
  • Strong knowledge in the field of international cultural differences and diversity and strong coordination skills, solution oriented, pragmatic approach.
  • High acceptance as 'sparring partner" to the Senior Management as well as project and change management competencies.
  • Fluent in English and German.
