Deputy to Vice President, SCEE Region
Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) is the trade and investment promotion agency for the northern region of Belgium: Flanders. As the economic powerhouse in Belgium, we rank 13th globally for both exports and imports. Our Vienna office, within the Embassy of Belgium is responsible for supporting bilateral trade relations between Flanders and Vienna. It also serves as the regional hub for Southern, Central and Eastern Europe (SCEE).
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated deputy to the Vice President SCEE Region (M/F/X) who will be part of our Vienna team. Duties and Responsibilities

Support the Vice President for the SCEE region in the areas of administration, strategy and marketing, including but not limited to:

Administration

• Providing administrative support, such as screening of calls, scheduling of meetings and appointments, management of email and agenda, drafting of replies, organization of (regional) meetings and preparation of presentation materials on behalf of the Vice-President, etc.
• Drawing up management reports
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records, in particular regarding the monitoring and follow up of commercial budgets
• Performing minor accounting duties

Strategy

• Collecting and screening of information on regional economic and geopolitical trends
• Conducting and leading market research efforts to understand and evaluate the effectiveness of existing services
• Close coordination with the region desk and other departments at HQ and offices in the SCEE region
• Prepare and review regional reports

Marketing

• In collaboration with the SCEE offices, work with media organizations and/or creative agencies, and oversee the marketing campaigns in the region
• Promoting FIT and its services through the proper (digital) channels
• Update management on the progress of marketing activities

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree, preferably in but not limited to Business, Economics, Finance, Communication, IT or Engineering
• Preferably 3 years of work experience in a business or commercial environment
• Good administrative skills; excellent communication skills; strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
• Experience with budget management preferably
• Possess analytical skills and ability to identify trends and challenges
• Familiarity with traditional and digital marketing channels
• Familiarity with the latest software tools and methodologies in graphic design, web design, etc.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Dynamics 365
• High level of proficiency in English required. Basic German and knowledge of Dutch are a plus
