- Support the development team in defining functions, architectures and requirements in the UAS development cycle
- Validation and verification of functions within the UAS development cycle
- Create and update a safety programme plan according to customer and regulatory requirements
- Working closely with various engineering teams (avionics, propulsion, structure, software, flight control) to ensure safety requirements are met
- Planning and execution of all activities according to the safety programme plan
- Familiarity with UAS systems, constraints and procedures as well as safety related customer and regulatory requirements
- Perform functional hazard analyses, system safety assessments and fault tree analyses in the safety assessment process
Requirements
- University degree in engineering or extensive experience in conducting safety assessments in the aviation sector
- Professional experience in conducting assessments
- Familiarity with ARP4761 and other relevant safety assessment guidelines
- Knowledge of European UAS regulations is advantageous
- Strong skills in MS Office and Excel, ideally also with knowledge of Ansys Medini
- Very good command of English
